Terms of Service

Effective August 4, 2026

heARTapps is a solo Mac software studio operated by Stefanie Herzer in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA. These plain-English terms cover buying and using our apps, sold direct from heartapps.app.

Your license

Buying a heARTapps app grants you a personal license to use it on the Macs you own. It's a one-time purchase — no subscription. You may not resell, redistribute, or share the app or your license key.

Free trials

Our apps are free to try before you buy — the shareware apps (FontFetch, Markless) for as long as you like, and Magic Timesheet for 14 days. Trials are provided so you can evaluate an app before paying.

Payment

Direct purchases are processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax, and receipts under its own terms; heARTapps never receives your full card or banking details. Your license is delivered by email after purchase. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Updates & pricing

Point-release updates are free. Major versions may be offered as optional paid upgrades. Prices are shown on the site and may change; the price you paid for a version is the price you paid.

Warranty

The apps are provided "as is," without warranty, to the extent permitted by law. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here affects the statutory consumer rights you have where you live.
